Biography

Yves Trudeau was born in Montreal in 1930, he held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in several group shows in Canada and abroad, namely in France, England, Italy, Sweden, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia. His works are prized as much by private collectors as by museums, both in Canada and in Europe. He is the founder and president of the Quebec sculptors Association, a member of the Royal Canadian Academy and received the Order of Canada in 1995. Now retired from teaching at l’UQAM, he lives and works in Montreal and in the Eastern Townships.

Yves Trudeau retrospective of his 50-year career was held in 2008 at the Musee des Beaux-Arts de Sherbrooke.
